A 57 years old woman with diabetes mellitus, gout c/o recurrent UTI with E.coli bacteria. Investigations showed Hba1c 6.6, uric acid, lipid profile, thyroid profile, a renal profile in the normal range. U/S abdomen no abnormal observation. The patient was treated with combo of amoxicillin and clavulanic acid as per c/s reports, Tab. Fluconazole, Clotrimazole local was given.
But the patient has increased frequency and urge of urination but not satisfied with the flow of urine (from few drops to thin stream of urine). Can inadequate flow of urine be a cause of recurrence? Any advice for investigation or in management of this case. Kindly share.
