A 41-year-old African-American woman presented to the emergency department with right leg pain for two weeks. She suffers from ESRD hypertension and congestive heart failure. The patient was on hemodialysis owing to ESRD. She described her right leg pain as constant, aching, stabbing pain in the right posterior mid-thigh, with radiation distally to the calf. She reported worsening pain with weight-bearing and ambulation.

CT angiogram revealed soft tissue and fascial edema in the right thigh. She was discharged home with analgesics and recommended follow-up with orthopedics. Patient in the following month was presented to the emergency department again with excruciating right thigh pain.
