Case presentation A 17-year-old young man presented with gradual swelling of his fingers that began five years ago (Cover image A). However, he complained of no significant pain or physical limitations. He sometimes felt mild morning stiffness and fatigue during prolonged writing. He was previously diagnosed with JIA and had been put on NSAIDs. Physical examination Nodular swelling adjacent to the PIP Swelling of metacarpophalangeal (MCP) joints of both hands Laboratory tests, including complete blood count, rheumatoid factors, antinuclear antibody, and inflammatory markers, were all normal.
