Adrenal carcinoma, also known as adrenal cancer, adrenocortical cancer or adrenocortical carcinoma is defined as a rare cancerous tumor in the cortex of the adrenal gland with a protean clinical manifestation. It has an incidence rate of 0.7–2.0 cases/million habitants per year and its prevalence are not specific to a particular age group. It mostly affects 55-60% of the women population. The present article outlines the critical parameters of detecting and managing adrenal carcinoma.
