Cow milk is usually avoided in infants below one year of age, but most infants are fed with either cow milk or infant feeds containing cow milk after a year. However, nearly 3 in every 100 infants suffer from cow milk intolerance (CMI) or cow milk allergy (CMA). This article discusses the advantages and disadvantages of almond milk as a replacement for cow milk in infants suffering from CMA/CMI.
