Dementia affects an estimated 50 million people globally and in India, the number is estimated to be 3.7 to four million.This is likely to double by 2030. A recent study has indicated that those with Type 2 diabetes are 50% to 65% more likely to develop Alzheimer`s disease than those with normal blood sugars.
