People with the risk of heart attacks are often prescribed a low dose of aspirin as it acts as an anti-coagulant and helps to prevent blood clots. Omega-3s are fatty acids that are thought to help in reducing the risk of heart diseases. According to new findings presented at the American Heart Association (AHA) Scientific annual meeting, a combination of Aspirin and Omega-3s intake might not be beneficial for the heart.
The study found that Omega-3s fatty acid levels in the blood might change the effects of aspirin on heart health. These findings recommend caution in interpretation and further replication of the study before changing aspirin intake among people with heart-related risks. Source: LiveScience Share your views!
