Nasal polyposis, a subgroup of chronic rhinosinusitis, is a benign inflammatory disease of the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses, with nasal obstruction, poor sinus drainage, loss of smell, runny nose, and nasal congestion as symptoms. 1 About 4% of the global population is affected by chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyposis (CRSwNP), and diagnosis is based on history, anterior rhinoscopy, endoscopic examination, radiology, and histopathology. 1 Both medical and surgical approaches are used to manage CRSwNP that aim to relieve nasal obstruction, restore olfaction, improve sinus drainage, and treat accompanying symptoms.
