Postprandial Distress Syndrome (PDS) is one of the two subtypes of the Functional Dyspepsia (FD). The other subtype is Epigastric Pain Syndrome. PDS is defined as several times a week of bothersome postprandial fullness and /or early satiety. It is attributed to inadequate gastric (fundal) accommodation and/or relaxation. About 40% of cases are related to " duodenal eosinophilia ". After exclusion of organic diseases, the following treatment strategies are to be considered: - Placebo /reassurance / eating small, regular and low in fat meals.
