Synopsis Migraine or severe headache has become a common neurological disorder in the modern world. The acute onset of severe headache eventually develops into a chronic migraine (CM) that causes a disabling effect on the patient’s life. CM significantly affects work productivity, impacts social and psychological behavior, and reduces health-related quality of life (HRQoL). What was the need for the study? Erenumab, a human anti-canonical calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) receptor monoclonal antibody, showed the potential in preventing CM pain.
