Researchers at the John Hopkins University have developed a 3D virtual reality goggles that can allow researchers to view a 3D interactive version of the human anatomy. Researchers claim that Virtual Reality makes it easier to study data in the real-world dimensions. Structures can also be rotated and visualized in ways that might be difficult to analyze in 2D research.
This technology is particularly useful for studying microscopic images as minor information can get lost in 2D representations. The developers claim that this technology will also serve as a useful tool for teaching difficult anatomical structures. Source: John Hopkins Medicine News Releases
