A 25-year-old woman experienced severe abdominal pain after heavy alcohol consumption and was brought to the emergency department (ED). She had been suffering from recurrent abdominal pain along with poor food intake and had been frequently visiting the ED for the last 5 years. Physical examination: Pulse rate: 90 beats/min Blood pressure: 160/120 mmHg Soft abdomen and no peritoneal signs were observed The patient was treated with morphine and her samples were sent for laboratory analysis. Her serum sodium concentrations were observed to be 125 mEq/L. Apart from hyponatremia, all other test results were normal.
